ICTEC Trainings & Workshops (for practitioners)

The International Crucible® Therapy Education Center (ICTEC) is committed to advancing the art and discipline of Crucible® Therapy. ICTEC workshops create powerful learning spaces where practitioners can expand their capacity, refine their craft, and engage deeply with the principles that make Crucible® work transformative. Here are several upcoming offerings designed to support practitioner growth and a deeper understanding of the model.

Crucible® Therapy Beginner Consultation Group

This consultation group is open to licensed therapists and graduate students enrolled in accredited therapy programs. No prior Crucible® training is required. Therapists who have attended introductory Crucible® workshops and want to strengthen their grasp of the model will also find this group a strong fit. If you do not meet these criteria, you may contact us to discuss eligibility.

The core of the group is case consultation. Each participant will present one of their cases to be explored through a Crucible® Therapy lens, with an emphasis on developing clarity, traction, and therapeutic differentiation. Areas of focus include:

  • Core Crucible® concepts: pacing and leading, gaining traction, balanced approaches, collaborative alliances, and the “third view in the room”
  • Differentiation of the therapist
  • Person‑of‑the‑therapist issues that interfere with treatment
  • Seeing cases clearly and identifying stuck points
  • Handling client moves and increasing therapeutic leverage
  • Bringing clients to critical mass
  • Crucible® Neurobiological Therapy: interpersonal neurobiological wiring problems, acute and steady‑state regressions

This group provides a supportive, skill‑building environment for therapists who want to deepen their understanding of Crucible® Therapy and apply its principles more confidently in clinical practice. Learn More

Using Written Mental Dialogues in Crucible® Therapy

Written Mental Dialogues are a unique visualization method that helps clients work through interpersonal trauma, resolve traumatic mind‑mapping, and shift their overall brain state. This approach gives therapists powerful access to clients’ internal representations of significant relationships and unprocessed experiences, revealing gaps in autobiographical memory, right‑brain‑encoded beliefs, and the false narratives that keep them stuck.

This training will help therapists understand how to effectively introduce, guide, and integrate Written Mental Dialogues into clinical work. Key areas of focus include:

  • Understanding the uses and benefits of Written Mental Dialogues
  • Introducing dialogues to clients in a clear and grounded way
  • Applying mind‑mapping principles within the dialogue process
  • Refining therapeutic feedback to deepen client insight
  • Working skillfully with client resistance
  • Practicing with real client dialogues to build confidence and competence

This workshop is designed to strengthen your ability to use Written Mental Dialogues as a transformative tool within the Crucible® Therapy framework. Learn More
